Allington is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated north-west from Grantham. The 2001 Census gave a population of 728 for the parish in 329 households. ==History== At the time of the Norman conquest the name of the village was Adelinctune. It belonged to the historical wapentake of Winnibriggs and Threo.〔("Winnibriggs and Threo Wap" ), A Vision of Britain through Time. Retrieved 16 March 2012〕 Allington Grade II listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
